The Harwinton Fire Police assists the town’s two fire departments and the state police on fire and accident scenes by directing traffic, closing roads, providing detours and helping motorists.
The fire police reroute traffic in town on Memorial Day to enable the annual parade and ceremony on the town greens to take place safely.
